Aloe vera is well known for its healing properties.
The clear fluid of the aloe vera plant is 99% water so it's no surprise that its the perfect source of nourishment used to hydrate and moisturize our largest organ - the skin. Aloe Vera also has antimicrobial properties that kills bacteria and anti-inflammatory properties that can minimize scarring.
Not only is it used to help heal and sooth the skin, it is also known to remove toxins from the air like formaldahyde making it an excellent indoor plant but did you know it is also a powerful rejuvenator for the skin??
You can save a ton of money by whipping up your own all natural healing skin salve at home combining the health benefits of 2 simple ingredients: coconut oil and aloe vera. Commercial lotions are expensive and full of additives, parabens and fake fragrances.

1/3 cup pure organic and cold pressed aloe vera gel
It is important to note to use pure 100% aloe vera gel and not juice

• Using an electric or hand mixer, whip for 5 to 10 minutes or until you have a light, fluffy and airy consistency
• Transfer the whipped mixture into a glass container or mason jar and store at room temperature
If your home is warm enough to cause the oil to melt (76F+) store in the fridge to help maintain that beautiful whipped consistency. Salve will last for several weeks.
